Kajabi – A Course Creators Best Friend

Picture it. All your stuff in one place. Your webinars. Your opt ins. Your sales pages. Your course area. Even a private community. Oh yea, and you can have your website there as well. Kajabi does the work of so many other programs I don’t even know where to begin to count.

If your primary focus of your business is around course creation, Kajabi is the perfect platform for you. It’s easy to use. They have great tech support. And they have amazing templates you can simple pop in your content and have your course up and running in no time.

With Kajabi you can build:

  • A course
  • A membership
  • A private community

What’s the difference between Kajabi and the others?

With Kajabi you pay a monthly fee based on how big of a website you will need. Their starter plans include 3 pipelines (aka sales pages and opt-ins) and 3 products (aka course, membership, etc.) All plans come with a mobile app for users, email list building, seo tools, and a mobile optimized site.

How does it work?

Getting started with Kajabi is fairly simple. There will be a bit of set up in regards to connecting your domain if you need to, connecting your stripe or PayPal account, and getting your pipelines and courses set up. This is where the real work is.

Setting up your products

Within Kajabi, you will need to set up products. For most of you this will be your course. Each module is laid out by category and then you can add your lesson materials. Lessons can have videos or if you don’t want to add a video you can add a cover photo and the course content below.

For each section of the course you will need to add written content and a feature image. You also have the option of adding downloadable materials as well for the course lessons.

If you are creating a membership, this will be the same process for your monthly content.

The great thing about Kajabi is they offer a mobile app for your users so every course or membership you create will allow your students to access their materials on their phone via the app.

Setting up your pipelines

One of the great features about Kajabi is the ability to have your email system housed with your course. That means you can have your landing pages, sales pages, thank you pages, email automations, weekly broadcasts, all in one place.

To set up your opt in, simple create a new pipeline with one of their templates and then use their visual builder to add your content. The builder is a bit of a learning curve but certainly once you get used to it you will love it. In the pipeline you will have your opt in page and thank you page and you can then connect this to an automation.

For your sales page, it’s a similar process. Simple create a new pipeline and select one their templates. You can modify it with your content using the visual builder. Each sales page pipeline includes the sales page, checkout page and you can add a confirmation page as well if you like.

Setting up your website

Once you have your products and pipelines set up you can start working on your full website. Kajabi offers full website capabilities including homepage, about page, blog posts, and any additional pages you would like. You can build out each page using the visual builder.
